Neighbours at a community produce stall.

Get involved

A neighbourhood house is only as strong as the people who walk in with something.

Time, food, a room booking, a skill, a grant introduction. There is no minimum gift. There is a Tuesday morning that needs you.

Volunteer

Kitchen, garden, food packing, front-of-house, digital tutoring, driving, and the unglamorous jobs that keep a hall honest. Tell us what you can do and when.

Give food or funds

Non-perishable groceries, garden surplus and money all keep Pay It Forward and community lunch moving. We do not take donations that we cannot use this month.

Hire a room

The House is a community facility. Small meetings, classes and gatherings can book space during opening hours, and some evenings by arrangement.

Partner

Local business, neighbouring houses, schools, shire programs and digital nonprofit deals. If it helps our people, we will have the conversation.

How to start

  1. Call (03) 5197 7264 during Tuesday–Friday, 9am–4pm, or email contact@gormandalech.org.
  2. Say whether you are offering time, food, money, a room booking or a partnership.
  3. If you are volunteering, we will talk through safety, food handling or workshop induction as needed.
  4. If you are giving money, we will tell you what it will actually buy this month — lunch, relief, a licence, a bed of soil.

We are a small registered charity. We do not run an online donation cart yet; that is one of the reasons we are pursuing Goodstack for Nonprofits. Until then, the phone and the inbox are the honest way.
